Point of Presence

There is a form of impressionist art that was popular in Europe in the late 1800's called Pointillism.

Points of colour cover the canvas and when they are seen from a suitable distance the image is formed from all of these points.

We are like pointillist paintings, each of us. Each moment of our existence is a point on the canvas which expresses our being.

As we go through this incredible, unprecedented shift, this amazing transformation and becoming, I find it helpful to see myself as points of colour changing from moment to moment and day to day. The colour represents my frequency, the vibration that I am holding. Years ago, I may have been mostly points of blue and brown. Now, the colour of golden yellow predominates. The pointillist canvas now looks very different than it did earlier in this shift that I experience moment by moment and day by day.

There are still moments when I am blue or brown. There are still moments when I am dark grey. The strident hues of anxiety and fear, bright flashes of orange and magenta, have largely left my canvas. Yet here and there, they still will show themselves.

We are not in the habit of running judgments on colours. For this reason, I like this metaphor for our shift. The points of our presence, of individuated moments of this or that frequency state, are complete in themselves, yet ever changing. It takes many of them to form a discernible image of our being in the world. We tend to judge ourselves as being too much of this or of that. Yet, it is the work of a moment to change our frequency. In this metaphor, when we change our frequency, we change our colour. My blues and browns have turned to the most brilliant golden hues. On this side of the canvas, representing this part of my life's expression on Planet Earth, I am this. Many points of presence of love, joy and the true desire within me to give from the essence of love that I am, create these points of golden light.

Yet, if one day, I am filled with pain, or sorrow, anger or regrets and have no love to give, this is a point of a different colour, adding to the perfect beauty of the life expression that I Am.

Well, if you like my metaphor, I hope that it helps you to see yourself and this shift in a new way. If not, so be it. That too is a point of perfect colour in the expression of your life and mine.
